A girl with abnormal head and eye movements: Joubert syndrome (2005:3b).

We describe a mentally retarded patient with developmental delay, abnormal head and eye movements with suspected blindness and episodes of abnormal breathing. Subsequent CT and MRI were performed to reach to the final diagnosis. The clinical history and the imaging findings were classical for Joubert syndrome.

[Implant optimization with help of numerical finite element studies].

During the past years numerical finite element studies have become more and more important for the evaluation of stress effect on the implant surrounding bone. Based on the results of recent researches and finite element studies B.I.T.-Implants were developed from IK-Implants, which have been clinical successful for over 12 years. The result are two different screw implants with a very homogeneous and tolerable stress distribution in bone.

[Innovative system for overlay denture therapy].

The short blade-implant ist adapted to the more reduced alveolarappendage in profile too. Generally this implant means more safety for the operating dentist. A lately developed intramobile element connected with this implant provides a greater relief of the implanted. A long vertical way of replacement produces more extra safetyreserves for the effective compendation of the appearing chewing forces. The attachment can be combined with nearly all prothetical solutions. This intramobile element can be changed without any problems by the patient himself.

[Overdenture screws].

The progressive significant characteristics of the cover-denture-screw are proved. The computer-recordings of the cover-denture-screw don't show any extreme maxima at a complex distribution of tension because of the favourable form-design of the screw. An obvious low concentration of tension mainly in the cervical part of the screw is the result of the special form of the implant.
