[Evaluation of antianginal effects of running pulse magnetic field and drug therapy on the physical working capacity and hemodynamics in patients with stable angina pectoris].

The effects of the running pulse magnetic field, antianginal drug therapy and their combinations on the physical capacity were compared in 60 patients with Functional Classes I-III stable angina pectoris. Monotherapy with the running pulse magnetic field was found to produce an antianginal effect in patients with Functional Classes I-II angina pectoris, but the efficacy of drug therapy increased when antianginal drugs were used in combination with running pulse magnetic field in patients with severe angina.

[Central hemodynamics of patients during an attack of bronchial asthma].

The authors presented the results of a combined study of 100 patients with infectious-allergic bronchial asthma. During and after attacks of asphyxia parameters of central hemodynamics and pressure in the lesser circulation system were defined. The patients were divided into 3 groups with relation to cardiac output values. An increase in cardiac output and pressure elevation in the right ventricle were noted in the 1st group, the values of pressure of pulmonary artery obstruction slightly raised. The absence of a marked increase in cardiac output was observed in the 2nd group, however pressure in the arterial system of the lesser circulation increased in the period of asphyxia. A decrease in cardiac output and an increase in pressure in the system of the pulmonary artery were noted in the patients of the 3rd group during asthmatic attacks. Such changes in the hemodynamics of the patients with bronchial asthma during attacks of asphyxia led to an idea of a possible favorable reaction of the cardiovascular system in the 1st group, maximum effort of compensatory capabilities in the 2nd group and depletion of reserve function of the cardiovascular system in the 3rd group. An elevation of pressure of pulmonary artery obstruction in the patients of the 2nd and 3rd groups confirmed a possibility of development not only of right but also left ventricular circulatory insufficiency during an attack of bronchial asthma.

[Effect of beta-adrenergic blockaders and trental on plasma levels of renin and aldosterone in healthy persons during antiorthostatic hypokinesia].

Plasma renin activity and aldosterone levels were measured radioimmunologically in 30 normal individuals subjected to antiorthostatic hypokinesia (at a - 15 degrees angle). Hormonal effects of some drugs (beta-blockers, trental, venotonics) were examined. The short-term antiorthostatic position was associated with a disordered hormonal control, reduced plasma aldosterone and enhanced plasma renin activity, as compared to the respective parameters of the reclining position. The use of beta-adreno-blockers alone or in combinations with other drugs decreases plasma renin activity in conditions of antiorthostatic hypokinesia which can be related to the inhibition of beta-adrenergic activity.

[Plasma prostaglandins in hypo-and hypertensive neurocirculatory dystonia].

Investigations were carried out at rest and after physical exercise (50 and 75% from maximum) with pressor Fl-alpha and F2 alpha and depressor (A, E) fraction of prostaglandins (PG) in 10 healthy individuals, in 10 patients with neurocirculatory dystoniaa with hypertension and in 10 patients with neurocirculatory dystonia with hypotension. In patients with hypertension at rest as compared to the healthy individuals there was increase of content of pressor and decrease of depressor fractions of PG, in patients with hypotension changes in PG were of the reverse type. In adaptation to physical load at different stage of load levels definite trends in changes in the PG content have been recorded, close to such changes in the healthy subjects and patients with hypotension, and a reverse trend in persons with hypertension.

[The action of obzidan and oktadin on muscle blood flow during head-down tilt hypokinesia].

The blood flow in the gastrocnemius muscle of healthy men was studied during 6-hour antiorthostatic hypokinesia at different angles (-7, -15, -22, -30 degrees) and also the possibility of correcting changes in hemodynamics during antiorthostatic hypokinesia was determined. The muscle blood flow was studied by the clearance method. A total of 72 tests were performed. The tested men received obsidan and octadine 30 minutes before taking the antiorthostatic position in doses of 80 and 12.5 mg for one intake respectively. The analysis of the clinical data showed that typical symptomatology develops during antiorthostatic hypokinesia with a significant decrease of the tissue blood flow in the gastrocnemius muscle at an increase of the angle of tilt. The results of the studies suggested that obsidan fails to improve the muscle blood flow and octadine leads to a greater slowing of the muscle blood flow that negatively influences the condition of the gastrocnemius muscle.

[Comparative study of the effect of trental, menthol and obzidan and their combinations on the function of the cardiorespiratory system in operators under extreme conditions].

Effects of different drugs on parameters of gas exchange and central hemodynamics were studied during physical load in operators under antiorthostatic hypokinesia at an angle of 15 degrees. More significant tension of the cardiorespiratory system during physical load was found following administration of beta-blockers.

[Effect of a "running" pulse magnetic field on certain humoral indicators and physical ability to work in patients with neurocirculatory hypo- and hypertension].

The influence of "running" impulse magnetic field in patients with neurocirculatory hypo- and hypertension was studied. It has been determined that magnetotherapy in all patients increased physical load tolerability and at the same time produced different effects on hemodynamics (lowering blood pressure in hypertension and increasing it in hypotension). In patients with neurocirculatory hypotension the slightly expressed positive clinical effect was obtained, that makes "running" impulse magnetic field therapy useless in this pathology. At the same time in patients with neurocirculatory hypertension "running" impulse magnetic field therapy resulted in significant improvement of physical tolerability, improvement of patients general condition, blood pressure decrease, lowering of pressor power generation concentration, correcting effect on aldosterone blood content. These data witness for the usefulness of this method in treatment of patients with neurocirculatory hypertension.

["Running" pulse magnetic field in treating stenocardia].

The influence of "running" impulse magnetic field, antianginal drugs and their combination on physical load tolerability, hemodynamics and functional state of hormonal system in patients with stable angina pectoris was studied. "Running" impulse magnetic field therapy produced marked antianginal effect in patients with I-II class angina and it was effective in combination with antianginal drugs in patients of III class angina. The reduction of attack frequency and significant physical load tolerability improvement was determined. The correcting influence of "running" impulse magnetic field on hypophysis-thyroid system hormones (TTH, T3, T4) was revealed, that correlates with physical load tolerability and myocardial contractility improvement. As monotherapy, the "running" impulse magnetic field can be administered to the patients with stable angina of I-II class and in combination with antianginal drugs- to the patients with severe angina.
