[Laparoscopic radical nephrectomy].

Laparoscopic radical nephrectomy (left-sided--6, right-sided--3) was performed for T1b-3aN0-2M0-M1 renal tumor. Tumors measuring up to 12 cm were located in the mid or lower renal segment. Detailed descriptions of surgical procedure and chemical clearing to identify lymph nodes are presented. Surgery lasted 130-170 min. Intraoperative loss of blood was 50-150 ml. No postoperative complication was reported. Patients were discharged on days 5-7; time of disability ranged 21-30 days.

[The effect of low-intensity laser radiation on the regional hemodynamics in strangulated intestinal obstruction].

In the experiment on 214 white rats, the effect of different types of low-intensive laser irradiation and existing methods of treatment on regional hemodynamics in strangulated ileus was studied. Combined use of ultraviolet and helium-neon lasers has to be proved to be the most effective. Ultraviolet laser irradiation contributed to increase in elasticity of the arterial wall and cupping off the vascular spasm, helium-neon irradiation had a stimulating effect on the tissues of the intestinal wall.

[A method of modeling strangulation ileus].

A method for modeling of strangulation ileus consisting in passing the intestinal loop through a strip of cycle rubber nipple with a diameter of 2 mm, width of 4 mm is suggested. Advantages of the method were confirmed by the findings of angioscopy and morphologic study in ileus modeling in 175 rats. The method suggested permits easy and prompt creation of a standard model of strangulation ileus in rats in all the cases, and study after the nipple transection of the changes characteristic of the postischemic period.
