Postoperative myxoedema. A report of coma and upper airway obstruction.
The problems encountered in the immediate postoperative period in an undiagnosed myxoedematous patient are reported, the specific management of these problems discussed and the treatment of myxoedema coma outlined. The use of dopamine for cardiovascular support in this situation is commented upon.
