[Intestinal injuries in rectosigmoidoscopy in expert opinion].

Based on criteria of evaluation in the field of rectoscopy, questions are derived which concern expert opinions on rectal lesions during rectoscopy. Excluding a dereliction, the authors take the view that, owing to the rare occurrence of rectal perforations in the course of an instrumental examination of the rectum, criteria can now be given in each case for applying the law on the extended material support of persons in the case of lesions due to surgical operations.

[A new contrast medium emulsion for lymphography (author's transl)].

A new contrast medium for lymphography has been developed. It is suitable for direct, such as bi-pedal, lymphangiography, and has certain advantages compared with the commercially available contrast medium Ethiodol, such as absence of a lipogranulomatous reaction and less extensive oil emboli in the lungs. It is also possible to use the substance for indirect, retrosternal lymphography. The substance is indirect, retrosternal lymphography. The substance is an emulsion of triglycerides of iodinated poppy seed oil. The method of preparation of the emulsion is described.

[The corrosion behavior of the bonded alloy Ultratek].

Ultratek crystal has a multiphasic structure; beryllium is concentrated in one phase. Under the influence of the solvent, this phase is attacked and the Be salts are released. Measurement of atom absorption revealed that the amount of beryllium actually released is extremely low. Under the influence of reagents present in the buccal cavity or which come in contact with it, the amount of beryllium is 10(4) times lower (per 1 cm2 free surface metal per day) than the maximal values permitted according to the calculation of an earlier MAC value (maximal concentration for working conditions).

[Physical factors in tissue injuries of the masticatory organ].

For the analysis of tissue trauma physical quantities and mechanisms were registered by means of electronic measuring devices in the model example of jaw fractures. Samples of pig jaws were subjected to load until breaking by a pendulum hammer: by impulse loading of the teeth and the jaw bone itself. Using oscillograms of the deformations of the teeth and jaws and force, the most important biophysical quantities of this trauma are explained: impact speed, impulse, force, tissue deformation, increase of force.
