The observation included 120 patients suffering from hay fever (HF) in age 18-58. In 77 of them specific immunotherapy (SI) with pollen vaccine was applicated through 3 consecutive years, while 43 patients remained without this form of therapy, as a control group. SI was efficient in 47% of treated patients, and in these cases IgE value came back to normal value, the IgG level increased and suppression of skin test to pollen allergens was observed. In 17% of treated patients side effects appeared during SI and together with exacerbation of HF, an increase of skin reaction to pollen allergens was noted.

The influence of dopamine on uterine activity was studied by external tocography in women at the end of a normal pregnancy. In those who were not in labour dopamine infusion (2 micrograms min-1 kg-1 body weight) induced regular uterine contractions and with higher doses the response increased. For women in spontaneous labour, dopamine at a dose of 4 micrograms min-1 kg-1 caused a significant increase in the frequency of contraction, but in women receiving an oxytocin infusion, no further stimulation was seen. Dopamine did not have any noticeable effect on fetal heart rate, maternal pulse rate or blood pressure and no other general effects were observed.

The influence of bradykinin and kallikrein on the action of norepinephrine, epinephrine, isoprenaline, phentolamine, propranolol, aminophylline and theophylline on blood pressure was studied. The kinins potentiated the hypertensive action of norepinephrine and epinephrine, weakened the hypotensive action of isoprenaline, potentiated the hypotensive action of propranolol, and had no effect on the action of phentolamine, aminophylline and theophylline.
Influence of Trasylol and morphine on hydroproteolytic activity of rat's pancreas was investigated. Trasylol, administered in vivo, caused normalization of activity of some pancreatic enzymes in the rats single and fractionated irradiated. In vitro, however, Trasylol did not affect the catheptic (pH 5.4) and amylolytic activity of the pancreas. After in vivo administration of morphine, the return to control values of amylolytic activity in the serum of single irradiated animals was observed.
Dianabol administered p.o. in the dose of 1.0 mg/kg during 10 days before irradiation-had no radioprotective effect in the fractionated irradiation (5 x 150 R). Distinct radioprotection, however, was exerted by the DMSO, Trasylol and Trichlorfon (30 mg/kg) administration.
Investigations were carried out on the problem of hydrolytic ability of rat's pancreas 24 h after whole body irradiation with the single dose of 800 R and after fractionated irradiation (5 x 150 R). Besides kallikrein, enzymes of intracellular digestion (B-glucuronidase, acid phosphatase, cathepsin) and enzymes of intraluminal digestion (amylase, lipase) were chosed for examination. It was stated, that single irradiation evokes rather moderate changes in the activity of examined enzymes causing increase of catheptic and lipolytic activity and decrease in amylase activity accompanied by sharp increase of kallikrein activity in the tissue. Mechanical obstruction of biliopancreatic duct renders trend to decrease of enzymatic activity in almost all enzymes of irradiated group. After fractionated irradiation the general increase of hydroproteolytic activity (with one exception of pancreatic amylase) was stated.
