As a consequence of its affinity to leukocytes and tumour cells, 67Gallium-Citrate is a good isotope for detecting infections and tumoral pathology. Its sensitivity is greater for lymphatic system malignancies, primary lung cancer, primary liver carcinoma and melanoma. It is a useful method with more sensitivity than diagnostic specificity.
The comparative effects of tenoxicam and indomethacin are studied in 20 patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Ten evolutive parameters were studied after six weeks of treatment. Both drugs showed similar tolerance and efficacy on the evolution of the disease.

Interstitial lymphoscintigraphy is a diagnostic method useful in the staging and follow-up of several tumours as well as in the etiological evaluation of limb edema. It is a simple technique with minimal invasivity which can be performed even in those regions inaccesible to radiographic lymphography. Because of its great sensitivity and low specifity it requires careful interpretation.
A group of 15 patients, suffering of chronic ischaemia of the lower limbs, were treated with triflusal, a new antiaggregant and antithrombotic agent, at the dose of 300 mg/day, during the first 90 days after artery by-pass grafting. Clinical exploration of patients included: physical inspection, pulses palpation, intermittent claudication (in metres), arteriography before surgery, and postoperative evolution of oscillometric and Doppler indexes. Determinations of platelet aggregation, induced by ADP, epinephrine and collagen, as well as of prothrombin time, platelet adhesiveness, and of thromboelastography parameters in PRP ane PPP were also carried out. Biochemical and hematological data were determined; gastric tolerance and other side effects were written down. Results show a clear improvement of all patients due to surgery, but with triflusal, it has been possible to maintain a prophylactic effect without thrombosis of the graft or of the distal vessel of patients, during the postoperative period. Actually, lower limbs temperature and pulses were maintained, with a good capillary content and with an improved walking distance. No changes in prothrombin time an platelet adhesiveness, have been observed. Five patients showed a clear hypoaggregant tendency, and thromboelastography in PRP indicates a statistically significant increase of R and K parameters as well as a decrease of am. It must be noticed the absence of gastric, hepatic, renal or metabolic side effects and no haemorrhagic lesions were observed. In conclusion, the treatment of these patients with triflusal prevents the otherwise frequent appearance of postoperative thrombosis in this kind of arterial surgery.
We present a patient 52 years old with a symtomatology of three month's evolution with: rapid weight loss, weakness in legs fasciculated tremor increased by any physical effort, nervousness and anxiety. The isotopic exploration of thyroid in basal conditions and after estimulation with TSH shows a very small captation of iodide. The determination of T 4 shows a notable increase (24 U. U. Normal range is 7,5 to 10,5 U. U.). The clinical symtomatology biochemical and gammagraphic datum support the diagnostic of subacute thyroiditis and also the posterior evolution of symtomatology in spite of the absence of odynophagia and the increase of syze of the thyroid. We comment on the particularity of this clinical entity that could be confused with thireotoxicosis because of its atypical character of presentation.
Fosfomycin has been tested in 25 adult patients with bronchial or bronchopulmonary acute processes, of which 13 were simple acute processes of a greater or lesser severity, and 12 acutenesses of chronic bronchial processes. The germs found most frequently in the sputum cultures were Streptococcus pneumoniae and Klebsiella. Fosfomycin was used intramuscularly with doses of 4 g/day, for an average of 10 days. The results obtained were 16 cures, 7 improvements and 2 failures, which represents 92% success with 8% failures.

The different laboratory technich for the determination of digoxin serum concentrations are analysed. Special emphasis is placed on the radioimmunoassay technic. The advantages and disadvantages of this technic are studied and the standard curves obtained in our determinations (n=39) are analysed. It can be seen that they can be reproduced in all cases with a high degree of similarity. The possible causes of error in this microtechnic are also analysed and a modification in the decanting fase, with which the number of repetitions in our laboratory has decreased, is suggested. Finally the criteria for the actual evaluation of the seric digoxin levels used in our laboratory are described and new possibilities in pharmacological investigation by this technic are mentioned.
With a view to creating national tables of the delayed hypersensitivity response, a total of 1476 healthy persons were studied at eight different locations in Spain. For the measurement of delayed cellular immunity response, Multitest IMC was used. Of those examined, 0.7% were anergic, 21.3 were relatively anergic, and 73 were immunocompetent. Of the 766 men, 28 were relatively anergic and 3 were anergic, whereas of the 710 women, 14 were relatively anergic (p < .001) and 8% were anergic (p < .001). The highest incidence of anergy was found in women of over 70 years (p < .001). Tuberculin was the antigen with the most positive responses, 77%, followed by Candida with 58%. Trichophyton and Proteus mirabilis were the antigens least recognized by the Spaniards studied. Major geographical variations were observed, both in the overall index for the delayed hypersensitivity response and in the response to different antigens. Catalonia revealed the highest level of anergy and the Valencia region, the lowest.
