Three cases of urinary ascites in infants secondary to extravasation of urine from the bladder are reported. The first reported case of intraperitoneal extravasation from a perforated bladder resulting from an umbilical cutdown and the second reported case of an intraperitoneal rupture of a congenital diverticulum of the bladder are included. Successful management of urinary ascites was achieved by immediate diversion. The diagnosis of a vesical perforation should be considered in an infant presenting with ascites.
The anatrophic nephrolithomty procedure described by Smith and Boyce is a safe, effective method to remove dendritic renal calculi. Two major departures from their surgical technique have simplified the procedure in our hands. Our experience with 56 consecutive cases treated with the simplified technique is reported.
Anterior urethral strictures of apparent congenital origin are reported in brothers and the literature is reviewed.
The proper evaluation of the enuretic child is controversial. A standardized evaluation was devised to decrease the number of examinations done based on the extant literature. During a 5-year period 138 children were examined uroradiographically. Of these patients 21 were found to have a significant anatomic abnormality. These abnormalities were found in children with either a history of a urinary tract infection, infected urine at the time of examination or obstructive signs or symptoms. Based on these findings a simple flow sheet for the evaluation of enuretic children is presented.

Our experience in the management of 12 malignant renal tumors involving the inferior vena cava is analyzed and a plan to manage the different degrees of caval involvement is discussed. The use of Pringle maneuver to control hepatic circulation during removal of suprahepatic caval extensions is recommended. Followup to date supports aggressive operative management in these patients.
A case of a nephroblastoma in a multilocular cystic kidney in a 5-year-old child is reported and the related literature is reviewed. Because of the unreliability of preoperative and intraoperative diagnostic modalities in identifying a coincidental nephroblastoma nephrectomy is recommended for multilocular cystic disease of the kidney in children.

The Nesbit procedure of excision of ellipses of tunica albuginea to correct distal hypospadias has been applied to more extensive penile curvature in children. The technique and a favorable experience with 8 patients so treated are describe.
Three patients with complications secondary to ventriculoperitoneal shunts for the management of hydrocephalus are described. Abdominal and genitourinary complications that may occur after the shunting procedure usually are owing to abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid or perforation by the shunting catheter tip.
A technique for the revision of the ileal stoma is described. The technique is based on the skin flap interposition procedure reported by Smith for the prevention of stomal stenosis.
The second instance of a bullet voided spontaneously via the urethra was reported and the related literature was briefly reviewed.
