Internal physiotherapy is interpreted as supplementary level of performance (clinical feature--aim of therapy--means of physiotherapy) both of the internal specialist and the physiotherapeutist. It is particularly referred to the commonness of the responsibility for the aim of therapy. The importance of the phase of the disease when the plan of therapy is established is described.

Mortality and morbidity of the acute myocardial infarction show an increasing tendency. The therapy, on the other hand, is not much satisfying yet. A myocardial ischemia was produced in 48 minipigs by ligature of the ramus interventricularis anterior of the left coronary artery. Its satellite vein was arterialised by means of plastic shunt. The majority of the animals of the control group without arterialisation did not survive. Electron microscopical controls showed only minimal damages of the ultrastructures in animals after arterialisation of the coronary veins.
The arterialisation of the coronary veins leads in the acute phase of myocardial ischemia to an effective circulation in the telethermographic picture. The oxygen tension in the tissue increases to 46% of the normal tissue tension in this way. The sinusoids have a nutritive function likely. Although the greatest amount of the blood supplied was drained before becoming metabolised a myocardial necrosis was prevented.
The thermography of the cardiac surface offers the possibility for the intraoperative control of cardiosurgical measures. Changes of the coronary blood flow and ischemically induced alterations of the metabolism becomes obvious immediately. The measured values give the heart surgeon topical information and are helpful to carry out protective and therapeutic measurements.
More effectiveness of veterinary examination of the living animal is an important demand of socialist practice which applies equally to conditions of stepwise transition to industrialised production processes and to conventional production. The physiological and physico-technical prerequisites for possible use of infrared techniques in veterinary attention and production monitoring are discussed on the basis of available literature, with particular reference being made also to human medicine.

The hitherto given recommendations for physiotherapy in progressive sclerodermia are in most cases undifferentiated. Proceeding from the aims of an influence of sclerodermic changes of the tissues, a prevention of restrictions of the movement and an improvement of the general condition a classification of suitable physiotherapeutic measures is recommended.
