[Augmentation mammaplasty using miniprosthesis].
Augmentation mammaplasty is a broadly-known surgery of major psychosocial significance. Along the time, the conventional silicone prosthesis has shown some technical and aesthetic problems. Our proposal involves the replacement of single prosthesis with small, 10 ml. silicone prostheses in augmentation mammaplasties. Known as miniprostheses, such small prostheses are inserted one after the other till the ideal volume for each breast is attained. The group of miniprostheses behaves as a single system, allowing for the increase in volume and for ideal shapes. It also allows for a smaller access incision, with less possibilities for the formation of a retractile capsule, and more safety in terms of a possible perforation.

Thermography as a preoperative and follow-up method for surgery of the hand.
This paper presents thermography as a useful method for the determination of regional thermal variations, during the pre- and postoperative periods, in the surgery and pathology of the hand. This method can give, directly or indirectly, very valuable information for both diagnosis and prognosis, and at times, can give additional data to that provided by clinical and instrumental investigation.
