Periodicity, pulse interval and pitch.
In an analysis of the relation between perceived pitch and auditory nerve impulse pattern, the distinction between periodicity and pulse interval is emphasized. Periodicity has previously been shown not to be uniquely related to pitch, and it is now demonstrated that pulse interval is also not necessarily a pitch correlate.
