[Fibrin adhesion (orientating animal experiments) (author's transl)].

For some time fibrin adhesion is successfully used instead of sutures in different branches of surgery. We tested in animal experiments whether this method can be used for a sutureless closure of perforating corneal and corneoscleral wounds. Our results up to now do not show us any such possibility.

[Destruction of the posterior hyaloid membrane in rhegmatogenous detachment of the vitreous body (author's transl)].

As a rule there are two pre-formed holes at the posterior hyaloid membrane in cases of recent rhegmatogenous posterior detachment of vitreous body. This finding remains stationary only in some patients. In others an extensive denudation of the posterior surface of the vitreous body occurs by progressive destruction of the posterior hyaloid membrane, the causes of which are unknown.

[Structure of the vitreous body over areas with lattice degeneration of the retina (author's transl)].

The clinical examination of the vitreous in the extreme fundus periphery is difficult; therefore only very little was known up to now about the relations of the posterior limiting membrane of the vitreous and the preretinal tract to retinal lattice degenerations arranged parallel to the ora serrata in several rows. There will be reports of new findings gained by depression biomicroscopy.
