Thermal transport in the hidden-order state of URu2Si2.

We present a study of thermal conductivity in the normal state of the heavy-fermion superconductor URu2Si2. Ordering at 18 K leads to a steep increase in thermal conductivity and (in contrast with all other cases of magnetic ordering in heavy-fermion compounds) to an enhancement of the Lorenz number. By linking this observation to several other previously reported features, we conclude that most of the carriers disappear in the ordered state and this leads to a drastic increase in both the phononic and electronic mean free path.

Andreev Bound States at the Onset of Phase Coherence in Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8).

A new technique of planar tunneling spectroscopy has been developed to access the in-plane density of states of optimally doped Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8) single crystals. The low energy spectrum is observed to depend on crystallographic orientation. When tunnel current is injected nominally along the Cu-Cu bond direction, a zero-bias conductance peak is observed to appear simultaneously with the onset of bulk superconductivity. These data demonstrate the existence of surface-induced states in this system and confirm the d-wave symmetry of the superconducting order parameter.

[Pedophrenia].

Among childhood psychoses which are so polymorphous and so liable to modifications because of the development of the personality, a rather special place can be given to a form which we intend to call "Pedophrenia". It corresponds roughly to hebephrenia, but occurs before adolescence, sometimes even as early as the first months of life, as it can be a continuation of a precocious autism. Furthermore, it also involves the classic discordances, rites, stereotypies, etc... Because of the age, the communication processes are expecially affected, malleability is greater than in hebephrenia, but the prognosis remains serious.
