[Idiopathic arterial calcification in infancy. A literature review and presentation of one case (author's transl)].

A 26 days old male newborn, developing cardiac insufficiency followed by death, is reported. Necropsy revealed broadly spread calcifications with severe affectation to the coronary arteries. No justifying cause to those calcifications was found. Literature is reviewed, and the current state of knowledge of this uncommon disease's etiology and pathogeny is questioned.

Ultrastructure of 26 cases of Ki-1 lymphomas: morphoimmunologic correlation.

Twenty-six cases of high-grade lymphomas with activation markers (CD30) classified and immunophenotyped according to the Kiel classification were studied to determine their fine structural features. Transmission electron microscopy showed in 17 cases anaplastic nuclear and cytoplasmic changes identical to those observed in Hodgkin's disease, it being impossible to determine by the morphology a B, T, or null nature. Four high-grade B-centroblastic and immunoblastic cases and five T-pleomorphic cases showed nuclear changes and cytoplasmic differentiation that suggested a T or B nature. An immunogold-labeling technique showed CD30-positive particles primarily in the Golgi complex and occasionally in the cell membrane.

[Inverted papillomas in nasal fossa and sinuses. Bringing up to date their clinical, radiological and pathological diagnosis and treatment].

The present work shows 13 cases of inverted papillomas of the nasal fossae treated at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz from 1954 to 1992. Four of them were found in the lateral wall of the nose, one in the nasal septum and the other one in the frontal sinus. The latter coexisted with a transient carcinoma. One of them suffered a secondary malignant process. This paper discusses the etiology of these tumors, their histology, clinical features, radiological aspects, trend to relapse or malignancy, as well as the most effective treatment in the authors' opinion.
