[The use of hemosorption in leptospirosis patients with pronounced thrombocytopenia].

The authors describe a rare case from the clinical practice. Treatment including hemosorption was employed in a 38-year-old with a severe form of icterohemorrhagic leptospirosis accompanied by acute reno-hepatic failure and pronounced thrombocytopenia--15 x 10(9)l. The relative significance of thrombocytopenia as one of the main contraindication to hemosorption is suggested.

[A scanning cytophotometer for the analysis of closely contiguous objects].

A measuring complex including microscope-photometer and computer is described to be used for scanning of a sample inside of an arbitrary contour. The complex is supplied with a television channel for simultaneous control of the sample and photometric diaphragm, and also with a manual manipulator for setting the boundaries of the informational zone. At the end of scanning the cytophotometric and morphometric data are registered.

[Spectral luminescence studies of cells stained with acrichine derivatives].

Excitation and fluorescence spectra are given of quinacrine derivative solutions, of buccal epithelium cell nuclei, of peripheral blood cells, and of isolated chromosomes treated with propyl-quinacrine mustard. It is confirmed that the differential cell treatment with quinacrine derivates may be observed in aqueous solutions only. Data obtained allow us to give some recommendations for employment of optimal filters and dichroic beam-splitters in the fluorescence microscopy of chromosomes treated with quinacrine derivatives.

[An experimental model of DIC syndrome].

Disseminated intravascular coagulation syndrome (DIC-syndrome) is experimentally reproduced by introduction of 30% aqueous solution "Desoxon-3" (2800-300 mg/kg) into the organism of laboratory animals (rabbits). The preparation was perorally introduced once on an empty stomach for 1 min. Biochemical and pathomorphological studies testify to the development of the typical DIC-syndrome in rabbits. It is concluded that the model suggested makes it possible to thoroughly study genesis, course, consequences of the development and preventive measures of disseminated intravascular blood coagulation, a complex pathological process.
