[Use of the specialized Diama electronic computer in the diagnosis of acute diseases of the abdominal cavity organs].

A comparative analysis of the precision of a computer diagnosis and medical diagnosis was performed in 717 patients with acute pathology of organs of the abdominal cavity. It was established that the use of a computer makes the physician to perform a more exact examination of the patient. The computer diagnosis was half as exact again as the diagnosis of the physician of the casualty ward and three times as exact as the diagnosis made in the prehospital period.

[Ways of reducing the extent of amputation of the limbs in endarteritis obliterans].

As a result of the development of vascular surgery, the interest in so called "minor surgery" (exarticulation of the toes, transmetatarsal amputation of the foot) has been resuscitated of late years. A comparative analysis of various methods of the treatment of 145 patients with obliterating endarteritis of Stages IV and V is performed. An intense pre- and postoperative therapy, hyperoxybarotherapy included, was carried out. The patients were subjected to sympatectomy, intraarterial infusion and skin plasty.

[Aneurysms of operated vessels].

Basing on the experience of treatment of 17 patients with 19 aneurisms which appeared after different operations on the vessels the authors propose a classification of this new kind of aneurisms and a more moderate tactics of surgery in such pathology. They propose the types of reconstructive operations and discuss their results.

[Method of surgical treatment of aneurysms of the peripheral vessels].

The author advocates active surgical tactics in aneurysm both in the stage of pulsatile hematoma and in immature aneurysm since only operation may prevent the development of such complications as hemorrhage, suppuration of the aneurysm, thrombosis of a major vessel, bacterial endarteritis, and bacterial endocarditis. The development of specialized medical service makes it possible to conduct a skilled operation, which greatly reduces the term of the patient's disability.
