It is reported a review on side effects and toxicity of alfa interferon in treatment of chronic viral hepatitis. The clinical experience in 44 patients affected by chronic hepatitis and treated with 3MU of alfa interferon is analysed.
In the light of recent fresh reports of drug-induced lung lesions, the authors suggest an updated classification of these based on data found in the literature. Special attention has been reserved to the pathogenetic mechanisms underlying specific clinical pictures.

The Authors have studied cardiovascular effects induced by progesterone administration. The results obtained in the present investigation reveal a significant reduction in O-S2 and PEP in the absence of modifications in the values of the other parameters of systolic time intervals. The results confirm the hypothesis that progesterone exerts an adrenergic effect upon cardiac function.
