[Choriocapillaris occlusion in Moschowitz's disease (author's transl)].

Two cases of choriocapillaris occlusion in Moschowitz's disease were examined. The first case was seen at the acute stage with severe findings including retinal detachment, yellowish spots, dye leakage in the subretinal space. Pathology examination revealed multiples choriocapillaris occlusions and foci of pigmentary epithelial necrosis. The second case was seen at the sequelar stage, with numerous Elschnig's spots well documented by angiography. Relationship between angiographic and pathologic findings are discussed, and emphasize the various kinds of blood retinal barrier rupture at the level of pigmentary epithelium.

[Acute choriocapillaris occlusion and Elschnig's spots during a toxemia of pregnancy (author's transl)].

The evolution of a case of acute occlusion of the choriocapillaris, with retinal detachment, during a toxemia of pregnancy is reported. The evolution of the angiographic findings are studied. At the acute stage, some spots of leakage appeared in the area of choroïdal filling defect. The healing results in Elschnig's spots, which take up an area much smaller than the initial non perfusion. The various stages of ischaemic involvement of retinal pigmentary epithelium and their angiographic aspects are discussed.

[Ocular electrophysiology and synthetic antimalarial agents (author's transl)].

Ocular electrophysiology investigations are essential for detecting retinal complications of prolonged treatment with synthetic antimalarial agents. The techniques employed and the principal lesions discovered by the examination are described. The analysis of lesions found in 29 out of 120 cases examined showed that only simple close surveillance was necessary in 17 cases, a reduction in daily dosage in 11 cases, and interruption of treatment in one case only. The modalities of ocular electrophysiology surveillance during prolonged treatment with antimalarial agents are outlined.
