[Sarcoid granuloma of the myocardium].

Report on the course of disease in a female patient with myocardial sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis was detected in the age of 38 years by reason of acute symptoms. The conditions improved markedly as a result of treatment, nevertheless some complaints persisted referring to a chronic course of the disease. In the age of 47 years a sarcoidotic involvement of the myocardium was deduced from serially appeasing monotopic ventricular extrasystoles regulated only by treatment with corticosteroids. The patient became free from complaints by this treatment. The author deals with the symptomatology of myocardial sarcoidosis, with its clinical picture and therapy. He emphasizes the importance of early detection and corticosteroid treatment.

[Hilar lymph node swelling as a reaction to BCG-hypersensitivity (author's transl)].

Report on an uncommon reaction to BCG-vaccination in a 7 years old child. A general BCG-allergy occurred manifesting by far extended alterations of the skin and by swelling of the hilar lymph nodes. In connection with this case the author recommends to apply only the intracutaneous testing in tuberculin diagnostics. Repeated BCG-vaccination should be done only with the greatest caution.
