[Kawasaki syndrome].
Kawasaki syndrome is not usual in our country. We report this case to stress the clinical importance of this syndrome in which dermatological signs predominate.
[Eosinophilic fasciitis. Response to treatment with cimetidine].
Eosinophilic fasciitis is a syndrome of imprecise classification which usually responds well to corticosteroids. We report a patient who did not respond to such treatment but he improved with cimetidine therapy. The pathogenesis of this syndrome and the possible action mechanism of cimetidine are discussed.
[Atypical Sweet's syndrome. Apropos of 4 cases].
The authors study four cases of Sweet's syndrome in which the clinical manifestations differ from the original description, although the laboratory reports, the response to the treatment and histologic data were typical of this entity. By the way, the authors propose a hypothesis about the pathogenesis of this syndrome.
[Hodgkin's disease of the skin].
The authors study a case of Hodgkin's disease type Rye III with specific infiltration of the skin. In cutaneous biopsy we find Reed-Stenberg cells. With treatment the cutaneous lesion diminishes without disappearing. A discussion is made about the Hodgkin's disease and its relation with lymphomatoid papulosis and its differential diagnostic with cutaneous lymphomas and the pathogenic way of cutaneous infiltration.
[Study of membrane oligosaccharides in keratinocytes using the lectins in normal epidermis].
The authors studied the oligosaccharides coated membrane of normal keratinocytes with the lectins HPA, PHA-L, RCA-120; and ConA. The results permit to have a pattern of normally epidermic differentiation.
