Here is an attempt to establish that a close relation exists between the chemical formulae of organophosphates and their affinities for lipids, proteins and water. We carried out this study on two systems similar to human plasma. First, each component was sorted, then the organophosphates were detected and titrated by gas chromatography with flame photometry detector. Thiophosphates had a greater affinity for lipids than phosphates. Fixation of proteins was only observed on three hydrophilous organophosphates: phosphamidon, dichlorvos, ciodrin.
The hydroxyimino-1 methyl-4 pentanone-2 was selected among several oximes because of its highly successful restoring action on dog plasmatic cholinesterases inhibited by DFP (diisopropyl fluorophosphate). During the in vitro study, this storing action was tested on 10 organophosphates. Results are compared to those obtained when contrathion is used.
The toxicant action on hepatocytes of "paraquat" introduced at very low concentrations in an in vitro culture of such cells is here established. Mitoses are slowed down and moreover, the lysosomial system is impaired, thus inducing a decrease in its enzymic reactions and the proliferation of very large vesicles.

Over a period of ten years, 88 cases of diphtheria were diagnosed in the North of France especially in the area of Lille, Roubaix and Tourcoing. 25 p. cent of the patients had been correctly vaccinated within less than five years, and among the latter 25 p. cent died from their diphtheria. The clinical presentation was typical but delay in diagnosis is frequent.
The clinical study of antidotes has been limited until the recent development of Clinical Toxicology Centers where rare but demonstrative observations were collected and a critical approach for the validation of therapy organized. After the period of setting of respiratory assistance in coma due to acute intoxication by psychotropic drugs, the knowledge of biochemical receptors for toxic molecules and the production of antagonistic molecules allows the setting of drugs with unquestionable efficacity according to the accumulation of data in CTC and to an international collaboration and consensus program. Some pharmacological research considered as necessary have permitted the discovery of new situations as frequent cyanhydric intoxications due to plastic furniture during home fires. The progress in antibodies-antidotes bioformation and pharmaceutical production is necessary to antagonize some acute and often lethal intoxications like these due to colchicine and paraquat.
In vaginal exfoliative cytology, the routine Papanicolaou and Shorr's staining procedures do not reliably indicate the post-ovulatory phase. An experimental study of 100 female albino rats and a clinical study of 190 women was initiated to establish an easier method for identifying the post-ovulatory phase. It was found that the appearance of intracytoplasmic lipid granules in vaginal cells stained by Oil Red 0 may serve as a sensitive indicator of the post-ovulatory phase.
Heart failure with myocardial infarction occurred in the course of a neonatal infection with aseptic meningitis. Coxsackie B4 infection was found in the child and its mother. The unusual myocardial action of the virus, coronary embolus, intermediate role of a pancreatitis. By age 8 months, under digitalis glycosides treatment, growth and psychomotor development were normal.
