The genome sequence of the Marbled Maple moth, Altenia scriptella (Hübner, 1796) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Altenia scriptella (Marbled Maple moth; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Gelechiidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 506.56 megabases and 440.34 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.51%) is scaffolded into 33 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. The assembly also includes two B chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.3 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

The genome sequence of the Common Quaker, Orthosia cerasi (Fabricius, 1775) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Orthosia cerasi (Common Quaker; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Noctuidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 1 022.21 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.88%) is scaffolded into 29 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.39 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 15 702 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

The genome sequence of the Bluebell moth, Eana incanana (Stephens, 1852) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Eana incanana (Bluebell moth; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Tortricidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 372.33 megabases and 373.40 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.64%) is scaffolded into 30 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.01 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Bluebell moth

The genome sequence of the Orange Underwing, Archiearis parthenias (Linnaeus, 1761) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Archiearis parthenias (Orange Underwing; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Geometridae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 528.46 megabases and 426.17 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.61%) is scaffolded into 26 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 17.24 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

The genome sequence of the Orange Beauty, Commophila aeneana (Hübner, 1799-1800) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae).

We present a genome assembly from a female Commophila aeneana (Orange Beauty; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Tortricidae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 429.47 megabases and 322.66 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.82%) is scaffolded into 25 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes., and most of haplotype 2 (99.71%) is scaffolded into 23 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.5 kilobases.

The genome sequence of the Hoary Footman, Eilema caniola (Hübner, 1808).

We present a genome assembly from one female Eilema caniola (the Hoary Footman; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Erebidae). The genome sequence is 781.7 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.42 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 22,953 protein coding genes.

The genome sequence of the Autumnal Rustic, Eugnorisma glareosa (Esper, 1788).

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Eugnorisma glareosa (the Autumnal Rustic; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Noctuidae). The genome sequence is 631.0 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 30 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.39 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 19,768 protein coding genes.
