Cartilaginous papule of the ear.
A 65-year-old white man developed 2 skin-colored papules on the left helix. Microscopic examination disclosed hyperplasia of the auricular cartilage, a finding not heretofore described. It is unknown whether these cartilaginous papules of the ear represent a neoplastic or reactive phenomenon.
Sustained remission of generalized lichen planus induced by cyclophosphamide.
Three patients with generalized lichen planus, who were unresponsive or transiently responsive to conventional therapies, were successfully treated with low dosages of oral cyclophosphamide.

Localized primary cutaneous intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia.
A 10-year-old boy developed an asymptomatic, pigmented, flat-topped papule on the thigh. Biopsy revealed intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia in a dilated capillary of the superficial dermal plexus. This vascular abnormality was not accompanied by demonstrable thrombotic material or by angioma. Pathogenetically, intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia in this case appears to represent a primary rather than a reactive endothelial proliferation.
Comparative effect of anaerobic coryneforms on a murine melanoma.
Ten strains of anaerobic Corynebacteria were compared in their effect on survival of C57BL/6 mice, bearing subcutaneously inoculated B16 melanomas. The corynebacterial suspensions were injected intralesionally twice weekly for five injections. Significant permanent tumor regression was not obtained. Significant prolongation of survival was observed in mice treated with seven of the corynebacterial strains.
Psoriasis on tumor.
Indicators of the relative contribution of epidermis and dermis to the pathogenesis of psoriasis may be obtained from clinical observation. We studied a case of clinically characteristic and histologically identifiable plaque of chronic psoriasis occurring over transitional cell carcinoma metastatic to the dermis. The tumor substantially replaced the usual fibrous structure of the dermis, showing that a normally structured dermis is not requisite for the presence of psoriasis.
