[Effect of the physico-chemical form and storage time of ferriferrocyanides on the sorption of cesium-137 in the digestive tract].

In consequence of the test of Ferriferrocyanide efficiency under the intoxication of white rats by 137Cs the dependence of its sorption effect on the chemical form, production process and the degree of dispersion of the preparation is demonstrated. Maximum efficiency has been determined in Ferriferrocyanides when their degree of dispersion is 0.02-0.03 mm. Antidote qualities of the preparations can be preserved for 15 years.

[Percutaneous resorption of cesium-137 and strontium-89 in alkali solutions and inactivation of the burned surface].

Experiments on white rats studied percutaneous resorption of 137Cs and 89Sr during their skin application in the form of 10 per cent and 40 per cent solutions of NaOH. The study also involved deactivation of the contaminated skin by means of traditional means of first aid recommended for alkali burn and the application of 5 per cent solution of boric acid with the addition of some detergent or 10 per cent solution of sodium hexametaphosphate. The dependence of deactivation efficacy on the time of beginning sanitary treatment, decontamination procedure and alkali concentration was established.
