[Cricopharyngeal dysfunction].
Cricopharyngeal dysfunction is responsible for the development of a Zenkers diverticulum, the achalasia of the upper oesophageal sphincter and different deglutition disorders, due to neurological diseases. The section of the m. cricopharyngeus is often successful in these conditions.
