The objective of the paper is the specification of morphological criteria for the diagnostics of chronic gastritis. Biopsies, taken from the antral and corporal mucosa of 317 patients, were studied. Light chronic superficial gastritis was established in 184 cases. Manifested chronic superficial gastritis--in 178 cases, 119 of them in the antrum. Chronic gastritis with initial atrophy of the glands was established in II cases, and complete--in one. Chronic gastritis with intestinal metaplasia was observed in the antral mucosa mainly, and with various degrees of glandular atrophy both in case of the chronic superficial gastritis and chronic gastritis. The chronic gastritis with some changes in the glands, but without atrophy--47 cases, is of particular interest. The intestinal metaplasia as well as the pylorization of the corporal glands in chronic gastritis with changes in the glands without atrophy are a manifestation of dysregeneratory disorders and disturbance in the coordination between the phases of proliferation and differentiation.

A varying temperature and humidity regime was tested on a total of 200 hybrid birds (White Plymouth Rock x Cornish crosses). Investigated were some indices of the carbohydrate metabolism and the deposition of vitamins in the organism as well as the effect of the temperature and humidity regime on the growth and development of broilers. It was established that the content of glycogen in the liver and the muscles in birds raised first at 32 degree C and relative air humidity of 65--70 per cent was higher than in birds raised at 36 degree C and relative air humidity of 45--50 per cent. Besides, these observations were coupled with some changes in the content of blood sugar and the amount of A and E vitamins in the liver. The body weight of the test broilers by the end of the experiment was 30 grams higher than that of the control group broilers.

The authors analyze the age and sex distribution of cholelithiasis in 388 patients. Cholelithiasis in those patients is diagnosed by X-ray method and in 24 of them -- was verified at operation. The incidence of cholelithiasis patients increases with age advancing. The percentage of patients with cholithiasis in the age group from 21 to 30 is 8,2 per cent, to reach 24,7 per cent among the patients from the age group 61 to 70. After that age the incidence of cholelithiasis decreases and among patients over 80 - the percentage is 0,5 per cent. Females are more frequently affected than males. From all the patients examined 77,9 per cent are females and 22,1 per cent are males; the ratio is about 4:1. Younger females suffer more after than the young males and the ration ranges about 15:1.
